#FilOil2019: Streaking FEU enter playoffs by beatdown of JRU

SAN JUAN -- FEU enter the playoffs of the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup as the second hottest team after dispatching JRU 66-53 Friday afternoon at the FilOil FlyingV Centre.

Olsen Racela's Tamaraws won their fifth straight game two wrap up Group B play after locking down and disconnect the Heavy Bombers, turning a one-point halftime lead to a 49-39 lead at the penultimate period.

However, they will have to face unbeaten Group A top seed San Beda on Monday's quarterfinals, after their negative quotient saw them at the bottom of the pile in the three-way tie with Adamson and Letran at 5-2.

Rookie guard Royce Alforque had 14 points to lead FEU off the bench, in which they scored 42 of the team's total production from their second unit, with Hubert Cani scored in double figures for the third straight game after hitting for a dozen.

Agem MIranda had 14 for JRU who wrap up their preseason tilt at the bottom of Group B with a 1-6 card.
