SAN JUAN -- San Sebastian finally played in the 13th FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup Friday evening, taking down UP with a 73-64 win on their debut at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
On the final game of the day, the Stags finally got to play in the country's showpiece preseason league defying all the odds to stun the Fighting Maroons in Group A.
RK Ilagan filled the void left by Michael Calisaan last season as Baste's leader, with the guard finishing with a team-high 18 points with four triple.
Allyn Bulanadi backstopped the fiery Ilagan with 16, as the lefty made his mark in the third to register their biggest lead at 11, 52-41 in the third.
Ricci Rivero had a game-high 19 for the now 2-2 UP, who is without Bo Perasol this time as Ricky Dandan deputized on his behalf.
