#FilOil2019: San Beda sweeps Group A after comebacker vs UST

SAN JUAN -- Already sealed their Group A top spot, San Beda moved up a notch in the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup, after getting the win from behind to stung UST, 75-73 to sweep their group Friday afternoon at the FilOil FlyingV Centre.

The duo of James Canlas and Donald Tankoua led the reigning NCAA champions in their uprising against the game yet already eliminated Growling Tigers, trailing for most of the game until unleashing a fourth-quarter rally to win for the seventh straight time.

Canlas led the Red Lions with 21 points and Donald Tankoua had a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds as they set their sights on the streaking FEU in the knockout quarterfinals on Monday.

Souleymane Chabi Yo also had a double-double of 24 markers and 12 boards but the Growling Tigers will wrap up their campaign at 2-5 and miss out on the playoffs for the third straight season.
