#FilOil2019: San Beda completes Group A sweep after brushing aside La Salle-Zobel

SAN JUAN -- With their playoff spot already confirmed, San Beda then swept Group A of the Juniors' division of the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup with an 87-68 beatdown of De La Salle-Zobel in the lone Juniors game played Monday morning at the FilOil FlyingV Centre.

The Red Cubs are set to take on fellow NCAA side Perpetual Help in the cross-over semifinal with a comprehensive win, after winning all five of their games to finish on top of the pile.

CJ Llarena lead San Beda with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and two steals as they blew the Junior Archers out early in the opening period limiting them to just seven points en route to a 30-point rout at the end of the first half.

Backstopping the forward are Josiah Alcantara who had 14 markers, and slotman Yukien Andrada who pitched in a double-double of 10 points and 16 rebounds.

Kean Baclaan had a game-high 28 for Zobel who fell to 1-3.
