#FilOil2019: NU smother JRU to go 2-0 in Juniors

SAN JUAN -- NU-Nazareth pulled away at the restart for their second straight win in the Juniors division of the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup, smothering JRU, 85-66 to cap off the high school tripleheaders Monday afternoon at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

The Bullpups were being tested in the first half, with the Light Bombers got them tied up at the end of the first before NU took a six point lead at the half.

However, it was one-way traffic for th reigning UAAP champions, tearing them apart in the third and led by as much as 22 in the final period for a 2-0 record in Group B, sending JRU to its second loss in as many games.

Point guard Gerry Abadiano led NU with 13 points, followed by Kevin Quiambao who had 10.

Patrick Icban had a game-high 16 for JRU.
