#FilOil2019: NSNU sends LSGH on the brink as Fortea, Quiambao team up

SAN JUAN -- Reigning UAAP Juniors champions Nazareth School-NU stomp their class aganst a shorthanded La Salle Greenhills side in an 86-82 nailbiter for their debut win at the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup Friday morning at the FilOil FlyingV Centre.

Fresh from their dominating triumph at the Palarong Pambansa, the Bullpups were trailing at the half but a second half surge sent the Greenies to the brink of elimination.

Terrence Fortea and Kevin Quiambao shared the top scoring honors with 20 points each, with the former doing his by hitting all of his field goals from beyond the arc coming off the bench.

Quiambao, however, had a more complete game with the burly forward added 16 rebounds for a double-double.

Gian Arciaga and Lennox Valenzuela led LSGH with 19 apiece but it was not enough for the NCAA powerhouse to avoid defeat for the third game running in Group B.
