SAN JUAN -- Lyceum assured themselves of a spot in the cross-over semifinals of the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup after taking down debuting La Salle-Zobel, 81-70 in the juniors division Monday morning at the FilOil FlyingV Centre.
Gyle Montaño and the Junior Pirates have managed to turn the game around in the second half, capping off their Group A campaign with a 4-1 record that eliminated Ateneo from contention.
Montaño had a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds, with Jearolan Omandac pitched in 13 off the bench.
Lyceum displayed its running game by taking the fastbreak game with 17 points off transition.
Kean Baclaan paced the Junior Archers with 15 points in their very first game in FilOil play.
