#FilOil2019: Lyceum joins Adamson in Group B lead after mauling EAC

SAN JUAN -- Lyceum joined Adamson on top of Group B after dispatching EAC, 86-64 to cap off the seniors division tripleheaders of the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup last May 27 at the FilOIl FlyingV Centre.

Sans talisman Jaycee Marcelino, the Pirates bounced back from their defeat to FEU last week with a bang by hitting half of their shots and disarming the Generals with ease to join the Falcons on the pole with identical 4-1 records.

Lyceum hold the tiebreaker last May 10 when they beat Adamson by a point in a come-from-behind fashion.

Jayson David was the surprise of the game, leading the Pirates with 14 points while Mike Harry Nzseusseu scored 13 off the bench in an all-NCAA tiff in which they led by 25 after the third frame.

Kelly Gurtiza had 16 for EAC, who were held to just six points in the opening period to fall down at 1-4.
