#FilOil2019: La Salle beats Baste to get second seed in Group A

SAN JUAN -- La Salle leaned on a powerful performance of Justine Baltazar to nab the second seed in Group A of the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup, pulling away second half to dispatch San Sebastian, 84-70 at the conclusion of the Seniors division play Friday evening at the Filoil FlyingV Centre.

The incoming senior big man had a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Green Archers who wound up their elimination round at 5-2, and set up a quarterfinal tiff with Letran on Monday.

Backstopping Baltazar was fellow senior Aljun Melecio who had 15 points on four treys.

RK Ilagan had 16 for the Golden Stags who wound up in third at 4-3 and will meet Adamson in the playoffs.
