#FilOil2019: FEU withstand Taywan's typhoon to nip EAC

SAN JUAN -- FEU moved to .500 in group B of the Seniors division in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Cup after surviving a late charge by EAC, 73-72 Thursday afternoon at the FilOil FlyingV Centre.

The Tamaraws led the entire game, but saw their lead slowly chipped away though the eight-point buffer at the end of the third was enough to go even at 2-2.

LJ Gonzales was the lone FEU cager in double figures with 15 points on a 4/7 shooting from the field to go along with 4 rebounds and a dime, as Coach Olsen Racela's charge weathered the storm despite hitting less than 40% from the flooras a team.

Marwin Taywan cooked a huge fourth-quarter storm after launching 18 of his game-high 26 points there, but their comeback from 18 points down in the final 3:32 just came up short to go bottom of the group, going down to 1-5 in the process.
