#FilOil2019: Baste outlast Mapua in OT to remain perfect in Group A

SAN JUAN -- San Sebastian needed five more minutes to repulse Mapua, 100-95 to cap off the Seniors triple-headers of the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup at the FilOil FlyingV Centre last May 25.

The Golden Stags nearly blew a ten-point lead at the half and had to go into the second overtime of the tournament after Jasper Salanga's lay-up capped off a 12-3 Cardinals run to the end the regulation at 82, but the dynamic duo of Allyn Bulanadi and RK Ilagan took charge to take the solo lead in Group A for their third win in as many games.

The duo scored half of Baste's output, including 16 of 18 in the extras with the lefty forward leading all scorers with 28 off the bench, followed by Ilagan who had 22.

Mapua big man Warren Bonifacio had a double-double of 19 points and 11 boards, but that was not enough for them to avoid falling to 1-4.
