SAN JUAN -- Aldin Ayo could not contain their glee as UST finally get their first win of the 13th FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup last Monday against Arellano in Group A.

"It was a good game, but hopefully we're going to learn a lot from that game," said the man behind the Mayhem after Growling Tigers' 84-73 win over the Chiefs.

However, he reiterated that there are still the need to improve a lot of things, two of which of which was its decisiveness and maturity.

"Because in terms of decision making, there were lots of lapses," he added. "Which is for us, very understandable naman, kasi it's a very young team."

With the real season in the UAAP still four months away, Ayo is pleased that there are still ample time for his wards to improve on it.

"Yun ang gusto namin ma-achieve na at this early, we want the players to be mature enough and make the right decisions."

He was then all praises for Mark Nonoy, with the incoming freshman taking charge in the final frame to put the game away, but there is still a need to improve him in integrating him to the chaos known as Mayhem.

"Mark [Nonoy] has all the talent. He has all the skills," he said. "It's all about channeling those talents and skills papunta sa sistema namin," he added, knowing that there is still the need for him to include playmaking in his arsenal as point guard, with the scoring ability already innate in the lefty from Negros Occidental.
