#FilOil2019: Adamson outlast Letran to force two-way tie at second

SAN JUAN -- Adamson forced a tie at second with Lyceum in Group B of the Seniors division of the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup after trouncing leader Letran, 89-85 late Saturday afternoon at the FilOil FlyingV Centre.

The Soaring Falcons of Coach Franz Pumaren never gave the Knights a taste of the lead right from the opening tip, leading by as much as a dozen to earn a share of  second place with the Lyceum Pirates at 3-1, but Adamson still concedes the tiebreaker owing to Lyceum's 82-81 win last May 10.

Jerrick Ahanmisi led Adamson with 17 points despite only shooting 6/14 from the field, with Jerom Lastimosa provided 15 off the bench.

Jerrick Balanza made his return by firing for 20, but the Knights only came to within four points to drop their record to 4-2.
