#FilOil2019: Adamson clinch second spot in Group B after takedown of NU

SAN JUAN -- Adamson will enter the playoffs as the Group B top seed after taking down already-eliminated NU, 70-61 in the final elimination day of the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup Friday morning at the FilOil FlyingV Centre.

Franz Pumaren's Falcons broke away in the third period after being held to just a two-point lead against the Bulldogs at halftime, sealing the second spot in their group to end the three-team logjam between them, Letran at FEU after wrapping up their eliminations at 5-2.

Congolese center Lenda Douanga had a monster double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds for Adamson, while Jerrick Ahanimsi had 11 to backstop his big man.

Dave Ildefonso had 18 for NU who ended their campaign at 3-4.
