SAN JUAN -- Thanks to the solid performance of their top recruit, Adamson began their quest in the FilOil FlyingV Preseason Cup with a resounding 89-65 mauling of Emilio Aguinaldo College to open the Seniors division tripleheaders last Monday afternoon.
Making his debut in the collegiate game, former Arellano standout Aaron Fermin picked up where he left off after playing out his final high school game for the Braves in the NCAA last season, putting up an efficient 21 points in just nineteen minutes for Franz Pumaren's Soaring Falcons.
Fermin basically outworked the Generals as he hit 60% from the field to go along with five rebounds and two blocks to instigate a breakaway in the second quarter where they limited EAC to just 8 points to take a 16-point lead at the break.
Adamson then turned up a notch at the second half in which they led by 30 that sealed their first win in Group B.
Marvin Taywan was the lone General in double figures with ten points as EAC fell flat on Oliver Bunyi's debut.
