Two game-winners in one day.

That’s what Gilas Pilipinas Women did on June 5 in the FIBA 3x3 Under-18 World Cup as they swept their games in nail-biting fashion in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Camille Clarin scored a putback in the final seconds as the Philippines defeated Netherlands, 10-9, in the first game of the day.

Angel Surada also converted the game-winner in overtime as Gilas Pilipinas Women beat Czech Republic, 15-14, to finish pool play with a 3-1 record.

Entering the tournament as the 14th seed in the tournament, Gilas Pilipinas Women clinched a spot in the quarterfinal round by finishing second in Pool C, joining unbeaten France in the knockout stage.

The Philippines though will face stiff competition as it will face the top-seeded team in the tournament in China on June 7.
