DMCI punsishes Centric IT Group - Team B by 47 points

DMCI avenged their first game loss with a destructive 47-point drubbing of Centric IT Group - Team B, 87-40, in the elimination round of Kings of the Court / STR8 Philippines at The Upper Deck Lifestyle Center in Pasig City.

Despite a slow start, DMCI Homes has proven they got lot of talented players as many of them stepped up offensively. Their defense was also felt by the opposition as Centric IT Group - Team B committed - turnovers.

Ralph Kenneth Rivas and Froy Pontivedra powered DMCI with 17 and 16 points, respectively, being the finishers in their fastbreak attacks. Zian Garlan contributed 10 markers, while Peterson Digma got nine points.

Centric IT Group - Team B has traded deuces with DMCI to begin the game until the latter put its focus on defense and made a couple of fastbreak baskets to close out the first quarter with a 10-2 run, 14-8.

Keeping its surging attacks, DMCI began to pull away in the second frame without slowing down on defense as only Jan Santos got to score for Centric IT Group - Team B. DMCI took a commanding 22-point lead at the half, 37-15.

DMCI was not contented with the huge disparity as they showed deadlier form in the last two quarters, not showing mercy until getting the 47-point victory.

Jan Santos singlehandedly carried Centric IT Group - Team B with a game-high of 23 points. John Angelo Bondoc helped him out with 10 markers. They now fell to 0-2 to start the season.
