Back at their own comfort at the FilOil FlyingV Centre, the San Juan Knights have delivered once again to the delight of the home fans when they dispatched Quezon City  with ease last week.

And that brings sweet music to the ears for head coach Randy Alcantara, who has nothing but all praises to the total team effort that our national champions have displayed after going on a July road trip.

"Every makakalaban natin, kelangan namin trabahuin. Nagkataon talaga na maganda ang dinepensa namin at nag-connect yung extra passes namin,"he said after their 89-71 win over the Caps, their eighth straight to match Muntinlupa's record for the best start to the season.

A proof of their total team effort was their ability to share the ball well, as evidenced by their 26 assist which was their second highest of the season so far.

Even though they got out of the jam that was Pasay in their home opener, a solid outing in front of their home fans was what he ordered to his charges despite missing them so much for a month.

"Lumabas sila, naglaro sila para ibigay sa taga-San Juan na kelangan naming manalo convincingly," he added.
However, with history staring at them Monday evening at Pinaglabanan, the former Knight himself is already have their eyes set on Nueva Ecija regardless of what record that they might have set, after seeing them pip Muntinlupa before them taking the floor.

"Mga beterano din yan," he said,  while taking caution to the possibility of being overconfident. "Wag kami magpapabaya. The coaching staff will keep on reminding them na pagtrabahuin namin ito defensively and offensively."

That "WE NOT ME" mentality even reached to San Juan's bench mob, as Jeffrey Tajonera and home-grown Joseph Ubalde even pitched in to contribute, boosting their confidence ahead the next game.

"Talagang nandyan lagi yung energy nila," he concluded, with Ubalde's garbage time points even brought delight even when the game's already been won.
