CamSur sweeps home matches in NBL Season 2 action

CamSur swept its games over the weekend at home in the National Basketball League (NBL) Season 2 at the University of Nueva Caceres Gym in Naga City.

The Express defeated the Quezon City Rising Stars, 95-84, last May 4, and won over the Bulacan Starks, 81-77, last May 5 to improve their record to 5-1.

CamSur also extended its winning streak to four games.

Jamil Bulawan was the Best Player of the Game in both matches. He finished with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks against the Quezon City Rising Stars, before tallying 17 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists for the Express in the win over the Bulacan Starks.

CamSur is now in third place in the team standings behind first placer Iriga City Oragons (4-0) and the Rizal Nationals (1-0).

Enzo Battad had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists as the Rising Stars beat One Cainta Titan, 96-84.

John Cruz had 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Starks won over the Titan, 96-92.

Jeremy Sarona notched a league record 46 points for the Titan against the Rising Stars to no avail as they stayed winless in the season.
