Barangay Ginebra defeated Alaska, 118-106, last Sunday with four players scoring 20 or more in the victory that improve the Gin Kings’ record to 5-4.
Justin Brownlee and Stanley Pringle teamed up for the Gin Kings in the win after scoring 27 points each as they bounced back from their defeat against Phoenix Pulse last Friday.
LA Tenorio had 22 points and made 6 of his 8 three-point attempts, and Japeth Aguilar had an impressive game of his own, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the win of the Gin Kings.
The Gin Kings are now in solo fifth with the win after pulling away when the Aces took a 92-91 lead with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Chris Banchero had career-high 29 points in a game that saw the return of Diamon Simpson as import of the Aces. Simpson had 22 points and 22 rebounds after replacing Chris Daniels as the Aces’ reinforcement.
