Justin Brownlee scored a late three to lead Barangay Ginebra to a 73-70 win over NorthPort last June 1 in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Bronwlee scored a triple with less than a minute left to finish the game with 32 points. That crucial three broke a 70-70 tie to win the game for the Gin Kings.

Ginebra scored the final five points of the game to steal the victory away from NorthPort, which suffered its first defeat after winning the first three matches of the game.

Ginebra won its second straight game to go 2-1 win-loss.

“I coached poorly. I thought it was a loss. We were turnover prone tonight… Our defense kept us in the game,” said Ginebra coach Tim Cone.

NorthPort still had chances to tie the match and send the game into overtime. Sean Anthony missed two three-point attempts with Garvo Lanete missing one in the Batang Pier’s final possession.
