Mark Bernaldez and James Bacon of Sanman Promotions scored big knock-out wins over Argentinian foes Sunday morning (Philippine time) at the Manual Artime Community Center Theater in Miami, Florida in the United States. Bernaldez (21-4,15 KOs), fighting in the main vent of the event, needed only three rounds to dispose of Julian Evaristo Aristule (34-14). Bacon needed one round less, knocking out Gonzalo Carlos Dallero (6-9) out in the second round.

Bernaldez seized control of the fight early, taking the fight to the veteran Aristule and stalking the Argentinian from the get go. Bernaldez sent Aristule to the seat of his pants twice in the second round, courtesy of a combination of blows. It was all a matter of time as Bernaldez pounced on Aristule in the third round, mixing up shots to the body and head of the Argentinian. A right straight to the face ended it all as referee Sam Burgos called an end to the fight at 1:55 of the third round. For his part, Bacon found himself in brawl as he faced a game Dallera who didn’t hesitate to mix it up, coming in with hooks from both sides. Bacon though landed the major blows, landing big right uppercuts to the face of Dallera, rocking him solidly. Dallera came out firing again in the second round but reading his foe better, Bacon landed huge right straights behind a stiff jab. A left uppercut to the body ended Dallera’s night as he lumped to the canvass and failed to beat referee Chris Young’s count at the 2:29 mark of the second round.

JC Manangquil, CEO of Sanman Promotions was elated with the wins. “Very happy sa performance nila Mark and James. They keep improving and nag bunga ila sacrifice, training with Coach Moro Hernandez in Miami for how many months. Bigger fights are up next,” he said. With their impressive wins, Bernaldez and Bacon are expected to be given more fights in the Florida area while remaining in the United States.

Sanman didn’t get a sweep over the weekend as John Vicente Moralde (23-4) lost to world title prospect Jose Enrique Durantes Vivas (20-1) by technical kock-out in the first round. This was part of the undercard of the Vasyl Lomachenko vs Teofimo Lopez fight held at the MGM Bubble in Las Vegas.
