Behind the scenes: Pinoyliga ballers helping the frontlines during the pandemic

A group of recreational basketball players have taken the initiative to support the frontliners in the fight against the Coronavirus, with no less than Pinoyliga founder Benny Benitez among those who pitched in.

The group, which includes Benitez alongside Rommel Ng and Pinoyliga partner leagues in Kerry's Sports and YBC Basketball League, have distributed food and essential stocks for those who are in the medical field, as the coronavirus pandemic have made the not just the metro under the quarantine that rocked the island of Luzon until the end of April.

With already 177 deaths and 84 recoveries out of 3,764 confirmed cases, the nation were put into code red to address the situation, as both the private sector and the government had joined hands in breaking the chain.

Apart from food, the group also handed out medical essentials to the hospital who are in the front lines of the crisis. Among those beneficiaries are Pasay City General Hospital and Manila's Mary Johnston Hospital.

Pinoyliga wishes everyone its best in health in this trying times. We are here to heal as one.
