Just two days since the departure of prized swingman CJ Cansino to UP, Aldin Ayo broke his silence on UST's troubles in the longest preseason of the UAAP due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Amidst the backlash that surrounds the controversial sacking of the former Tiger Cubs stalwart, the Growling Tigers' mentor has nothing but well-wishes to his former captain on his new chapter of his career.

"It would be best that we part ways and allow maximum growth for each other," he said in a statement released to the media. "We express our gratitude for the years and effort he poured so generously for UST."

It was not just the first time that Ayo had been embroiled in a dispute related to the former UAAP high school MVP, as his arrival in 2018 was even marred with a supposed war of words with former UST High mentor Chris Cantonjos who eventually left his post.

Ayo declined to comment on the "bubble" on his native Sorsogon, as he is awaiting the results of the investigation not just by the school itself, but also to the Inter-Agency Task Force.

Aside from Bicol, reports are surfacing that the same set-up was allegedly seen in Cebu that featured several of UST's recruits.

"Praying in due time, this will be properly addressed."

He then hopes that the government and themselves will find ways to resume the sporting activities that has been halted for the past five months by thee world's longest lockdown, as the country is still salivating by the return of the games across the globe.

"So that we may be able to resume a certain normalcy where we could return to the game we passionately love and give our utmost drawing the best out of each one in pursuit of total human development."
