That's how the Blue Stars clinched the Ayala Land Basketball League last February 12, after tearing apart Sky Force 91-46 in the deciding game of the Finals at the Gators Court.
The game was practically over at the opening frame when Blue Stars held the Sky Force to just two points, all of them came from the free throw line to buck their Game 2 OT loss with a huge bang, firing in a statement win to annex the crown, with regular season MVP John Paul Pama added the Finals MVP with his solid line.
Pama fired three triples to lead all scorers with 16 points on a 67% field goal shooting, adding 5 assists and 3 rebounds for an 18.43 PER, garnering 42 statistical points in the process.
Mac Sevilla pitched in a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Blue Stars in their one-sided win, shooting an astronomical 11/15 from beyond the arc as they shut the door on the Sky Force.
Game 2 hero Dray Geraldo had 12 points as the Sky Force settled for a bridesmaid finish.
