John Wilson scored 22 points to lead the San Juan Knights-Go For Gold to a 95-71 victory over Bacolod Master Sardines last Wednesday in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Lakan Season at the Olivarez College Gym in Parañaque City.
The Knights kept their unbeaten slate as they go 4-0 win-loss following the victory against Bacolod.
San Juan never trailed in the match, and led by as many as 24 points in the contest thanks to the play of Wilson, who also had 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in the match. Wilson also shot 7 of 16 from the field.
Jhonard Clarito also had a big game for the Knights as the Datu Cup finals hero had 16 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 4 blocks for his team, which led 27-18 to start the game.
Previously, the Knights defeated the Bacoor Strikers and Pasay Voyagers by an average margin of just 1.5 points, but have won the last two games in lopsided fashion after defeating Rizal Xentro Mall Golden Coolers, 101-86.
